  • Great reception for SUPER NINETY NINE on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Fasig-Tipton Timonium Sales Pavilion, as Country Life's Mike Pons and Spendthrift Farm's Mark Toothaker and Des Dempsey introduced this brilliant son of Pulpit to the Mid-Atlantic market. "Share the Upside" reservations were selling briskly all afternoon and evening. SUPER NINETY NINE romped in the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes as a 3-year-old and also placed in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby. Owned by Country Life and Spendthrift Farm, SUPER NINETY NINE lifetime breeding rights are available for the "Share the Upside" program, requiring mare owners to breed to him at a fee of $5,000 in each of his first two seasons at stud; otherwise he will stand for a fee of $4,000 LFSN. He joins a $140,000 colt from Keeneland September as six-figure sales yearilngs from FRIESAN's first crop! The $130,000 colt out of Mrs. Vanderbilt was bought, along with 2 other Friesan Fire yearlings, by Vinery's Tom Simon (Friesan Fire's breeder and co-owner)...(end headlines)
