TRUANCY LLC
Run Away and Hide - Successfully Sweet, by Successful Appeal
Offering Detail
Truancy is a 4-year-old filly we purchased as a broodmare prospect. She flew to wins at Saratoga and Aqueduct for veteran trainer Barclay Tagg and ran single digit speed numbers in her first four starts – click here to see her PP’s. She hails from the sire line of speedy Carson City. TRUANCY’s mother, Successfully Sweet, won 3 of 4 races, including the East View Stakes at Aqueduct.
Proving the axiom that fast mares make fast foals, Successfully Sweet produced $558,875-earner and Grade 3-winner Confrontation before producing Truancy. With graded black type stakes winners on her page, TRUANCY topped the broodmare offerings at the sale when Country Life bid $55,000 for her.
The plan is to breed her early in 2024 to popular young Kentucky stallion Cyberknife in order to produce a commercial MD-bred foal to sell as a weanling or yearling. She’s a fast, big, pretty mare who should produce fast-looking offspring that the market will love.
