Take Charge Indy-Miss Nondescript colt

Take Charge Indy - Miss Nondescript, by Mosler
Offering Detail
A year ago, we sent our young stakes winner Miss Nondescript to foal in Virginia at Locust Hill, where she delivered a perfectly handsome colt by noted racehorse sire TAKE CHARGE INDY – sire of recent Martha Washington Stakes winner Take Charge Milady, who is now on the Kentucky Oaks trail. He is the sire of 73% winners/ starters lifetime and boasts an $80,000 average earnings/runners lifetime, not to mention he is out of 3-time G1-winner and Broodmare of the Year Take Charge Lady.
With Churchill Downs increasing racing dates as the owner of Virginia’s Colonial Downs (from 27 in 2024 to 44 in 2025), opportunities grow to earn Virginia Bred and Certified awards. (Click Virginia Thoroughbred Association for updates, including the $500,000 Virginia Derby on March 15 at Colonial, the winning horse securing a spot in the Kentucky Derby on May 3 at Churchill.)
This colt’s dam Miss Nondescript, winner of the 2022 Maryland Million Lassie, is enjoying a solid start as a broodmare. Sired by Country Life’s Mosler, she was placed in a Country Life Broodmare Partnership at her auction value of $20,000. Her first foal, a Maryland-bred colt by farm sire Divining Rod, brought $40,000 last October at Timonium. Her second foal was this Virginia-bred Take Charge Indy colt, whom we brought straight home from Kentucky to our Merryland Training Center, where he is available for inspection. He will be broken and trained there later this year.
