Incisive Kitten
2021, Chestnut
This pretty filly was purchased at the Fasig-Tipton July Select Yearling Sale in Kentucky and has turf star written all over her face. She’s by 7-time leading turf sire Kitten’s Joy and out of the Irish-bred stakes-winning mare Athenian, who has already produced a stakes horse from her 4 foals of racing age. Her 2nd dam Ziria was a G3 winner and produced multiple stakes winners and stakes producers (see pedigree link below).
She is a KY-bred so she’s eligible for the big pots at the Kentucky Downs boutique meet ($100,000 maiden races). She’ll be broken at Merryland this fall and will likely go to the Middleburg Training Center for 6 months over the winter to also become Virginia-certified. The lucrative purses and superior turf course at Colonial Downs will be attractive for her as well.
