MOSLER

War Front - Gold Vault, by Arch
2011, Dark Bay , 16.2h · Entered Stud: 2017
Fee: $2,500 LFSN

Maryland's versatile son of Leading Sire War Front, MOSLER stamps his foals to run on every surface --- dirt, mud, or turf.

MOSLER, by War Front, is the property of syndicate. He is the sire of WICKED PRANKSTER, winner of the MD Million Turf Stakes in 2022 and 2023 and RESPONSE TIME, winner of the Timonium Distaff Stakes with earnings over $482,000. An A + nick to so many mares in the Mid-Atlantic region, MOSLER stands for $2,500 Live Foal.

Recap of his career: MOSLER won the $100,000 Laurel Dash Stakes in 1:08 1/5, defeating $3-million-earner BEN’S CAT. He also won the $100,000 Elusive Quality Stakes at Belmont Park.

A perfectly correct individual, MOSLER was bought by Mrs. Dilschneider for $1,050,000 at the 2012 Keeneland yearling sale. His half-sister, CONTESTED, sold for $2,300,000, after winning the G1 Acorn and G1 Test Stakes. Coolmore Stud bought his full brother, G2-placed AIR VICE MARSHALL, for $2,200,000 to top the 2014 Keeneland September sale.

Most War Fronts are “grass” horses, but MOSLER ran through his conditions on “dirt”, winning three of his first 6 starts on dirt in New York. Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott switched him to turf, the surface on which he won the Elusive Quality and the Laurel Dash.

His progeny win on dirt, grass, and synthetic, and they are particularly adept on a muddy track.  Country Life’s motto for this handsome son of War Front is: “MOSLER is the Man.”
